 Students completing this program and passing a final review will be authorized to use the credentials of CPEH after their name, to identify themselves as a Certified Professional Energy Healer™.

Questions & Answers

Q. What is Energy Healing?

A. Energy healing stems from the notion that everything in the universe is an expression of energy, or nothing that exists is devoid of energy. As human beings we have a great deal of energy, which often causes us to lose our sense of equilibrium. This leads to dis-ease or disharmony.  It is then that we need energy healing – any form of action that helps restore “ease” and harmony to an individual. There are many specific modalities within the field of Energy Healing, such as Healing Touch, Acupressure, and Shiatsu. Our program will introduce you to the field as a whole but concentrate most specifically on Reiki and Chakra Balancing.

Q. If I have already taken Reiki do I need to repeat this part of the program?

A. Yes, because there is such variation in how Reiki programs are taught, it’s important that all students have the same training and background. You will no doubt find a great deal of information that is generally not found in most basic to master level Reiki classes. You will feel that taking the foundation class was well worth the effort.

Q. I’d like to take this program but I will be away some of the time the program is offered.

A. Students are required to have a 90% attendance rate. Special exceptions can be made in certain situations. Check with Dr. Hamel to see if arrangements can be made for you.

Q. What Will I know When I Finish the Program?

A. The Energy Healing Certificate Program will help you develop many of the essential skills required to succeed in the dynamic fields of holistic counseling and energy healing. By enhancing your perceptual abilities, you will open new doorways to guidance and spiritual power that you can draw on to realize your greatest vision for your life—whether or not you choose to work exclusively in a healing profession. If you are interested in the field of holistic healing or are already a healing professional—homeopath, naturopath, hypnotherapist, nurse, physician, Massage, Reiki or cranio-sacral practitioner, to name only a few—you may want to add energy healing techniques to your ongoing study. This program will help you understand how the Human Energy System can create balance and health and can be used as a complementary healing modality.

Q. What are the professional backgrounds of the students?

A.  We find that students truly run the gamut of professional and life experience.  We have massage therapists, lawyers, nurses, counselors, medical practitioners, psychotherapists, teachers, full time parents, and engineers. Because the CPEH™ program is a new way to see and be in the world, every career path will benefit from this course of study.

Q. How can I use my Certificate of Energy Healing?

A. Some people will want to begin their own Energy Healing practice. Others may want to use their new skills and CPEH™ status as part of their established practice such as Massage Therapy or counseling. Still others may wish to study Energy Healing for their own development. The CPEH™ program provides a clear path to maximize your learning experience. In any case, your dedication and hard work will earn you the credentials of CPEH, signifying to others that you are a Certified Professional Energy Healer.

She has lectured internationally and studied with healers and shaman throughout the world. Dr. Hamel is the apprentice of Susan Gallaher, Ph.D author of “The Little Ones Diary” for over 8 years. Dr. Hamel is known for her compassion and humor. You can count on her to be down to earth and provide sensible and practical guidance as a mentor and instructor.

Policies

Classes:

1.                Only classes taken in the last two years will count towards the Certificate of Energy Healing Program.

2.                You are responsible for providing evidence of classes taken, and keeping records of classes you have or will take towards your Certificate. Evidence could include class confirmation or certificates of completion. 

3.                It is your responsibility to sign in on the attendance sheet at the start of each class.

State Law:

Each state has specific laws and it is the responsibility of each student to be sure she/he can practice energy healing legally. For most states, ordination is enough. However, it is the student/practitioner’s responsibility to understand and comply with governing laws concerning this and related issues.

Dismissal: Students are expected to demonstrate a high level of ethical and emotional maturity, as well as comprehension of the course materials.

• Students may be expelled from the CPEH Certificate Program if their behavior is deemed disruptive, abusive, or threatening.
• Students must demonstrate their comprehension of course content. Students who fail to demonstrate comprehension of the course content or meet course objectives may be asked to repeat the course at their expense.
• Students whose behavior or actions demonstrate a lack of ethics or concern necessary for responsible healing work may be expelled from the program.

Conduct:

• Students are expected to give the highest level of respect to their instructors, to their fellow students, and to themselves, including but not limited to: not talking during meditations or requested silence related to class activities, being on time to classes, and staying focused on course content during in class discussion.
• Please turn off ringers or beepers on cell phones or pagers during class.

Credit/Refund Policy:

• The CPEH Program adheres to the Maryland Seminary for Holistic Studies policy for refunds and credits. Please check with the office or website for full information about refunds and credits.

Certificate Award: 

• Certificate: Certificate of Completion of the Energy Healing Program will be awarded after you have attended all classes and completed class and home assignments and examination to a satisfactory level.
• Students who wish to distribute their class requirements through the course of an academic year are required to maintain evidence and records of the classes they have completed towards their Certificate.

CEU’s:

Continuing Education Units are available for most of the classes. Please be sure to sign up for them during the class session.
